Medically Necessary

I think in a way the title of this piece speaks for the song itself. Coakira is absolutely insane, and there’s very few other ways to put it. The kicks are constant and carry impossibility to them in a way - I’ve never heard other electronically based music like it until digging into the genre a little further. It’s lumped into something called “speedcore” - originated (from what I can find) in the 90’s, and racking up at 300+ BPM.

Morphine is probably the best, and my favorite example of speedcore. Artistically very reminiscent of Corpse Party (I can not be the only person who not only remembers that game but loved it. The folks who get it, get it.)

Absolutely one of my favorite car-earworms lately, and I can’t recommend this on a highway drive enough.

Just drive safely, folks.
