Dwellings does it again, babes.

Hey, do you guys remember when I said that this was the most insane like, month for independent music? No? I said it here, but whatever. Regardless, this also applies to the new Dwellings release we have at our fingertips now. And quite frankly, thank GOD! I’ve been dying for some new Dwellings and a yearner tune, and the boys delivered.

Starting with some of my favorite elements, Pick Up Before You Go has devastating blows lyrically and within that enchanting guitar line. The drums have me shaking, grooving, moving, every. single. time, without fail. Dwellings is such a beautiful and complex group musically, and it boils down to so much more than the word melodic. The bass speaks to you through your speakers, and the silence where it has time to shine is insane.

Pick Up Before You Go, lyrically, is also immaculate. Again, you guys gotta get with me on the yearner grind. I know it’s not for the weak but neither is anything else, so let’s get to it. “Pick up before you go / I wanna forget everything you made me live” is such an insane bar, sorry y’all. Truth be said, Dwellings continues to do it again and again. It’s a blessing to be around for it.
